The Mama-Pikin Foundation manages a 5-year, $4 million grant to support the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and the University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex to locally train the first ever obstetrician/gynecologist and pediatric specialists in Sierra Leone. The program successfully supported training and graduation of the first 3 pediatricians locally trained in Sierra Leone in 2023 and is on track to graduate the first 8 obstetrician/gynecologists locally trained in Sierra Leone in 2024.
