The Mama-Pikin Foundation team presented our work at the 1st African Urban Heat Summit held in Freetown on 7 February 2025. Our Country Director, Leeann MaHota Rizk, introduced our new Climate & Maternal Health training tool, which we use to educate communities about the effects of climate change and extreme heat on pregnant women and children, as well as strategies to help address this crisis in African countries.
This work was supported by Human Rights Watch.
